Olympic Peninsula Bed & Breakfast Lodge for Sale

Manitou Lodge

$895,000

Are you looking for a business opportunity or lifestyle shift? Consider the Manitou Lodge on the west side of Washington's Olympic Peninsula, surrounded by the Olympic National Park, and enjoying the cleanest air on the continent (it arrives scrubbed by the Pacific Ocean, and you breathe it first!). Here are a few particulars:

  • Well-established and well-known business - 35 years continuously in operation as a lodging establishment.
  • Very profitable year-round business peaking in the summer months.
  • Draws its clientele from among visitors to the Olympic National Park.
  • Close enough to NW urban centers for weekend getaways (theirs and yours).
  • World-class steelhead and salmon-fishing helps draw winter guests
  • Owner-transition facilitated by an extensive training program
  • This will be a "turn-key" sale.

The Lodge: We're situated on 11 forested acres west of Forks, WA. Rialto Beach, one of the most magnificent of the Park wilderness beaches, is just 3 miles away. There are five guest rooms in the main lodge building, and two additional guest rooms in a detached cottage. In the summer we open up two small cabins for a total of nine guest rooms. We also operate an in-lodge Northwest Arts shop. Owners/management will be able to live comfortably in a 3 bedroom/2 full bath on-property private residence. The lodge website can be visited by following any of the links on the top and bottom of this page. Here are some additional Lodge, Guest Room, and Owner's Residence photos

Why do people come here?
  • The Olympic National Park draws several million visitors each year to its mountains, rainforests and wilderness beaches. The Hoh Rainforest, Rialto Beach, Shi Shi Beach, Sol Duc Falls, and Hurricane Ridge are just a few of the most popular nearby venues within the Park. During the summer months, our place is filled with these visitors. NW urban centers such as Seattle and Portland provide a reliable and steady year-round stream of guests. Olympic National Park Scenery
  • Victoria, BC and the world-famous Butchart Gardens are just a ferry-ride away from Port Angeles, WA, 1 hr east of us. Many of our guests either arrive from Victoria or are headed there. The nearby North Olympic Peninsula towns of Port Angeles, Sequim, and Port Townsend all provide scenic and shopping
  • opportunities.
  • Similarly, a host of NW scenic spots such as Mt Rainier/Mt. St. Helen's, the San Juan Islands, the North Cascades, the Columbia River Gorge, and Seattle itself all attract visitors. Many of these folks incorporate us into a NW tour
  • In the winter months, hardy folks come to fish the Sol Duc, Bogachiel, Calawah, and Hoh rivers for wild steelhead.
The world's geography is continously in transition, but we're not expecting the Olympic National Park to move elswhere soon or quickly. Hence, it can be relied on to attract visitors for some time to come.
