News from Manitou Lodge in Forks Washington
May 06, 2008: Unannounced Mother's Day Special! We'll be serving complimentary Sunday morning tea for lodge guests accompanied by scones, British jam, and Devonshire Clotted Cream. Trust us, the clotted cream (with a consistency somewhere between cream and butter) alone is worth the extra gasoline.

Shi-Shi Beach - named by Outside Magazine as their "No. 1 Sweetest Beach" (see page 90 in the August 2003 issue). Shi-Shi can be accessed either from Lake Ozette by hiking to Cape Alava and then 10 miles north on the coast, or by driving to Neah Bay, south to Hobuck Beach and then a little further to the Shi-Shi trailhead. The rough, frequently muddy 3 mile trail to the beach is undergoing considerable upgrading
